August 18, 2020 — Fort Lauderdale, FL – Green Point Research (GPR), an international phytocannabinoid-rich hemp biomass originator and processor, is pleased to announce that its premium hemp seeds, seed starts, and clones are pilot project approved and available for sale. In addition to the genetics for sale, the company is one of the largest hemp service providers offering drying, extraction, refining, co-marketing, hemp farming consulting, and other services to ensure farmers have a cultivation partner than can help enable their success.

GPR cultivars, Fountain of Youth, a CBG strain, and Emerald Flower, a CBD strain,have received official approval and are now available for purchase. Additional CBD cultivars- Golden Sunset, Orange Blossom, Ruby Red, and Amazon, are expected to receive official approval in the very near future and can be pre-purchased for future delivery. Amazon is in the process of growing to full maturity with a later 2020 approval expected.
Hemp seed approval is available in Florida through hemp pilot programs from different universities. The required application to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and has been approved to certify hemp seeds under the Pilot Program. Only hemp seeds endorsed under this program or certified by the Association of Official Seed Certifying Agencies (AOSCA) are allowed to grow within Florida.

Green Point Research’s industrial hemp projects with Florida University partners include over 400 permitted acres located at GPR locations around the state including: Sunshine Nursery in Ft. Meade, Watershed Farms in Central Florida, and Murphy Farms in North Florida.
To purchase seeds and seed starts from Green Point Research, Florida farmers will need to provide a hemp cultivation license from FDACS. While hemp cultivation licenses have a user-friendly online application and are free of charge, due diligence includes background checks and an environmental containment plan. Once a license is approved, there are ongoing responsibilities, including posting signage, reporting anticipated harvest dates, and submitting samples for THC testing.
